Homeowners in Noida’s Sector 145 are at their wit’s end. On Sunday, a crowd gathered in protest against the Noida Authority’s sluggish pace of development. The crux of their anger? An eight-year wait for plot possession, despite having completed property registration.
The Sector 145 Resident Welfare Association (RWA) organized the demonstration, highlighting the plight of nearly 15,000 residents who remain in limbo. Their dreams of building their own homes have been indefinitely postponed due to the inordinate delays.
The grievances go beyond just plot possession. The RWA lamented the lack of progress on the entire sector’s development. Frustrated residents voiced their need for a clear and definitive timeline from the Noida Authority.
This timeline should address both the handover of plots and the commencement of essential infrastructure projects. Unfortunately, attempts to reach Noida Authority officials for comment proved futile, further deepening the residents’ sense of powerlessness and frustration with the apparent lack of transparency.
