Cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s legal battle with real estate developer Brilliant Etoile over a property deal and brand endorsement has reached the Delhi High Court. The Court issued a notice to Brilliant Etoile in response to Singh’s pleas requesting the appointment of a sole arbitrator to settle the dispute.

At the heart of the case lies a disagreement over two key agreements: a property purchase agreement for a luxury apartment in Delhi and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote and endorse Brilliant Etoile’s project. Singh alleges that the builder violated his personality rights by continuing to use his image for promotional purposes beyond the stipulated period in the MOU. Additionally, he claims a delay in the delivery of the promised flat.

On the other hand, Brilliant Etoile has reportedly denied these claims and previously refused Singh’s request for arbitration. The Delhi High Court’s notice compels them to respond to the allegations. Both parties will have a chance to present their arguments on August 5th, when the Court will determine the next steps. This development marks a small win for Singh, as the Court acknowledges the need for further investigation.
