The Delhi High Court has stepped in to mediate a legal dispute involving former Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh and real estate developer Brilliant Etoile. In a significant development, the court has directed the appointment of an arbitrator to adjudicate the claims and counterclaims between the two parties.

Yuvraj Singh had initiated legal proceedings against Brilliant Etoile, alleging a breach of privacy and the developer’s failure to deliver a promised dwelling unit within the stipulated timeframe. The cricketer asserted that the developer had used his image for promotional purposes without his consent, infringing upon his personal rights.

On the other hand, Brilliant Etoile refuted Yuvraj Singh’s allegations, contending that all financial obligations towards the cricketer had been fulfilled. The developer also claimed to have not received the notice sent by Yuvraj Singh initiating the dispute.

Considering the contentions of both parties, the Delhi High Court deemed it appropriate to refer the matter to arbitration. The Court has mandated that the arbitration proceedings be conducted under the auspices of the Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The appointed arbitrator will have the authority to comprehensively examine the evidence, hear arguments from both sides, and render a final decision on the merits of the case.

This development marks a crucial juncture in the legal battle between Yuvraj Singh and Brilliant Etoile, with the resolution of the dispute now resting in the hands of the arbitrator. The outcome of the arbitration proceedings will determine the legal rights and obligations of both parties.
