Residents of Greater Noida West can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) announced the long-awaited construction of the area’s first sewage treatment plant (STP), addressing a critical sanitation issue that has plagued the region for years.
This significant project, budgeted at ₹80 crore, will boast a daily treatment capacity of 45 million liters (MLD), significantly improving wastewater management in Greater Noida West. Tenders for the project have already been issued, with construction slated to begin shortly. The plant is expected to be operational within a year and a half, marking a major milestone for the area’s infrastructure development.
The new STP will ensure proper treatment of wastewater, preventing untreated sewage from contaminating local drains and the Hindon River. This initiative by GNIDA directly tackles a major concern for residents and paves the way for a cleaner and healthier environment for the entire community. Furthermore, the project demonstrates GNIDA’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in Greater Noida West.
